User Information and Instructions
Vira-con ointment is a medicine providing quick symptomatic relief for the burning and itching sensations associated with viral rashes and similar skin eruptions.
Primary Indications: Vira-con is especially formulated for herpes simplex, Type 1 and 2 (oral and genital herpes).
Secondary Indications: Vira-con may also be used, either alone or as part of an overall treatment program, for shingles, genital warts, and some vaginal infections. If you have any of these conditions, ask your doctor or health care practitioner if Vira-con might help you.
Directions: Apply Vira-con at the first sign of an outbreak. Rub in well and reapply as needed. Continue using for 24 hours after all symptoms disappear.
Warnings: 1) Keep away from eyes. The best way to do this is practice good hygiene. After each application, wash your hands with warm water and soap to remove any remaining ointment. 2) Keep Vira-con and all medicines away from children. This product is safe for children if applied by an adult and if you know the child can follow your instructions not to rub the affected area and then rub the eyes. 3) Vira-con is for external use only. Do not ingest. 4) Vira-con does not prevent the transmissionof the herpes virus from one person to another. It is not a substitute for continuing safe sexual practices.
Containdications: Vira-con is a homeopathic medicine. It should not interfer with any prescription you are taking. If you experience any negative reaction, stop using the ointment until you talk with your doctor.
